Helpful hints
to make your garden grow
Use large plastic pots instead of
terra cotta, they retain moisture
better.
Fertilize every two weeks (we
stand by Miracle Gro) to replenish
nutrients washed away with frequent waterings.
Vegetables need at least 6 hours of sunlight
to grow vigorously.
In hot climates and temperatures above 80,
twice-daily waterings might be necessary.

Container Gardens
Miles of green acres aren’t necessary to
grow flowers and veggies. A patio, deck
or balcony will do.
For home-grown veggies, gather these
ingredients: a large pot, some seeds or
starter plants, a sunny location, and daily
waterings.
The same ingredients work for flowers,
too. Overplant for a bountiful look.
Nature will take care of the rest.
